CDJ-900's with Traktor pro 2 and Audio 6

Hey, was wondering if anyone can help me out with a decision

I'm running 2 cdj-900s and a djm-800 and just using the USB cables through traktor scratch pro 2 and finding it pretty dodgy

I'm looking at buying a traktor audio 6 to run it through, and was wondering if it will make any difference in performance and sound quality, and also, if when the cdj's are running through the audio 6, the rotary knob can still be used to select songs in scratch pro 2? And if not, would an X1 help me out?

Cheers

@Jerram > In what way are you finding it 'dodgy'? If you mean not responsive enough, have you tried adjusting the latency settings?

If you decide to buy the Audio 6 you are only incorporating another piece of unnecessary hardware into the chain. You have two soundcards in your two CDJs so there's no need to buy another one (the Audio 6).

Hi Jerram. Did you ever sort it out? I had issues with my previous set up. I had intermitent latency problems, losing the midi connection just to name a few. My soluiton was to up date all the drivers on the lap top including the bios and to get a powered USB hub. The lap top itself is now music only and never goes on line all updates are done via a usb drive though I don't update the OS as it doesn't need the security patches.
