If you never burned those CDs with any CD-TEXT and they're not commercially available CDs, your only choice is to run a program like MusicBrainz which can audio-fingerprint the tracks and suggest artist/title names.
Not sure if this is in the right section or has been answered before but i cant seem to find anything or figure it out. I want to get all my old recorded cd's ripped and the tunes put into rekordbox and added to my drive. If i put the cd in any player, all the info comes up like artist, track etc. But when i put it into a cumputer, itunes or windows media player just says 'track 1' etc etc. No info.
How do i get the info off all these cd's rather than sit there for years typing it in one by one?

The cd's were burnt with text, as it shows up on any player. I've tried some other cd ripping software's but the same happens 'track 1, track2' and so on. I've not tried to do this before now as i've been happy with using cd's but they are starting to get tatty and i want to put them onto my hard drive.
I use Poikosoft's Easy CD-DA Extractor and it is able to read the CD-TEXT and put it into the ID3 tags.
Is it free?
No, but that's just one example of many out there that can do that kind of job. I believe EAC can do it as well (and it IS free).
Got EAC but still cant get the info, Says 'Track 1' etc. I know the info is there as my players read it, i just cant figure out how to rip a cd including that info i've not had to do it before so i dont know.
