Songs skips in HID mode with Serato when music/bass is loud

Is this a Pioneer issue or a Serato software issue?

Hey Pulse...

Im running the latest Serato 2.4.2 and the problem showed up on firmware 405 and 410. Havent tried 411 yet. What I meant to write was it skips from Vibration - whether its from bass or people jumping around in the booth. Other Serato users have also logged a complaint with Serato on their user forums. It doesnt happen with USBs or CD timecode...

Some users are working around it by putting CDJ's on foam but thats not always available at clubs.

Maybe it's a problem BTTATU (Between The Turntable And The User) The shaking might lead to USB disconnecting , Just Check if the USB cable's are connected well.

Pioneer CDJ's have something called a shock buffer AND "Floating architecture" this should reduce skipping and such issues though , Sometimes we have some booth which simply is an really shaky table but it doesnt skip though the CDJ's are literally jumping...

I believe this came up before and it is a Serato issue but I'm after asking to find out more information.

I have this problem as well. Started a thread a while back on Serato forums. I can say with about 95% certainty that IS

an issue with bass. It only happens when the subs in the club get pumping. doesn't happen in all clubs, booths with good isolation are usually ok. I've virtually solved the problem by taking my 2000's out of the cases and putting them directly on 1.5" thick foam. Haven't had a single skip using this method. If your getting skipping I'd say buy some foam, bring it with you if the club wont buy it.

Unfortunately the best option is to try and provide isolation for the CDJs as if the sensitivity is decreased in the players, they will be adversely affected performance-wise.
