[SOLVED] Problem with Software for Traktor Configuration (Mac)

hi guys,

I'm playing at a concert in 2 weeks and they use 2 CDJ 350 and a DJM 700, and I'm using Traktor Pro 2.5...

Now I wanted to download the Firmware and the Midi Mapping on my Macbook but I didn't work because it seems to be a Unix file...

http://www.pioneer.eu/de/support/software/CDJ-350/index.html

The only download which worked was the Aggregator.

How can I somehow download these 2 files or do I not even need these files and I can do it in a different way?

Could y please help me?

Thanks a lot!

Regards

VidiVici

Both firmware and midi map files are zip... your mac should be able to unzip them!?!  if not you will need to find an app that will unzip them for you! Use google to locate... or the mac app store!

Once unzipped, the tsi file needs to be placed into your traktor folder, so that it can be located later when you open traktor and map the 350 using the traktor control panel - midi devices...

Not sure you will need the 350 firmware update utility - not the best thing to be tinkering with on a live stage... so id leave that one alone!

Ask the events people what FW version the 350s are at... and if possible make them update them to the latest version!

The midi map file is not exe, I've just checked it.. It unzips to reveal a 350.tsi file!

This is the only file you should consider downloading - the other files you don't really need!

Okay same setup i use at home here are the steps...

first create the midi device, you have to make one device out of your two cdjs...

open traktor, click on the wheel on the top right corner  and select your newly created device under "audio setup" -> audio device

import this file in the preference window which opened up when you pressed the wheel http://www46.zippyshare.com/v/1156285/file.html

everything should work now :)

Ok so a few questions to your last post...

1st: How do I create an midi device??

2nd: I just import the file by clicking on Import in the Menu and it will work??

3rd: Setting up the set up I just connect the 2 CDJ with the DJM by audio cables ... and after this I just plug the USB 2.0 cables of the 2 CDJ into a USB Hub and plug this one into the MAC... Correct??

The best way to explain how to create the midi device is by a video. Im on my phone right now so i cant post it but look on youtube, pioneer has a turorial where they explain how to use 2 cdjs 2000 with traktor. They create an audio midi device at the beginning, its the same way you do it with the cdjs 350.
2 question. Yes you start the cdjs, then you press the controller mode on them so they switch in controller mode THAN you open traktor and select the new audio interface( what i mentioned in my post before) and than you import the tsi file and it should work yes.
3 question. Yep audio cables from cdj to djm. Usb cable into mac, but you dont necessarily need a hub if you have 2 ports. But you might need a hub if its a new macbook with usb 3.0 and remember to plug in the cable at the back not into the port on top of it, thats for usb sticks.
I highly recommend to try it before the concert. Maybe you can check it out 1 or 2 days before so you can make sure everything works :)

@VidiVici > Connect both CDJs to your laptop via USB cable. Download the CDJ Aggregator that will rectify the laptop soundcard issues. Open Traktor and run the Setup Wizard.
