I have a fault on one of my 900's where the Vinyl mode button LED will not come back on once turned off (taken out of Vinyl mode).
If the unit has been off for a period of time (quite a while not just off and on again) and I turn it on the Vinyl mode button LED lights up, vinyl mode is indicated on the jog wheel and everything is as it should be. If I press the Vinyl mode button the LED goes off and the jog wheel indicates that Vinyl mode is off. If I press the Vinyl mode button again the jog wheel indicates that Vinyl mode is back on but the button LED does not light up.
I was convinced that this was a firmware problem as like I said above, the LED does work until turned off once so I updated the firmware to the new 4.20 and restarted the machine. Vinyl mode was on, pressed the button a few times on and off and the LED turned on and off with it. I put a CD in and pressed it again and it went off. Pressed it again and the LED failed to light. Back to square one. I've attached a pic to show what I mean.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

@Chris > I feel this may be more of a hardware issue and is likely the result of something not making the right connection. How long have you had your players? I think the best option would be to return them to a service centre and see what they say. Technical support links are on the right >>
