WHAT IS THE BREAKDOWN OF CDJ 2000 NEXUS 1.04 FIRMWARE UPDATE PLEASE ...

did you see the release notes? they are on the firmware download page.

it's a CDJ firmware update, why would they mention rekordbox? a lot of your list is just your wishlist. it's not really representative of what the majority of the users need right now (ie greater stability, bug fixes). 

traktor was updated last week to now work with the nexus. serato need to release an update too.

the aero features would be nice to have but were never mentioned as being included with the nexus so it would be a bonus if they ever get included.

He might named a few things that HE would like to see but let's be honest here..

i'm not doubting the validity of his requests, i also hope they get fulfilled eventually.

however, lets get the decks stable & bug free before we start fixing smartphone stuff!

I would like to use the CDJ2000 NEXUS ... in the manor i brought it for, fair play to Gavin, but Pulse, Foster ... who ever else seemed to have thrown in the towel regards to answering their customers questions 

Like BriChi in his post ... im gutted at the poor state of the software /// firmware with these decks.

Why should people who pay £3000 be treated like guinea pigs. 

The fact my HD effectivly crashes every gig is abhorrent.

Yes, lets get the decks bug free ... but so much was promised ... I personally feel very let down, especially at the ignoring of most of my posts over the last 6 weeks.

Pioneer ... I second what Bri said, either get your house in order, or find engineers that can do the job !!! Its obv there are major issues with the deck. Man up and sort them, I feel completely mislead.

 I have no problem with android connectivity.  I used a android nexus s and a samsung tab 10.1.  They both work fine using the latest firmware from samsung and android from google released by google.

I say check your phone again. Is your phone rooted?

I use a Hitachi HFS+ formatted (not fat) and it worked fine.  How do you have your thing formatted?

 I believe you are taking about already analyzed files?  Thats an improvement or feature I am looking forward to also.

As Phil mentioned, one step at a time.  Plus it would be advantageous not to bring this to Nexus when Aero just came out. 

No mention of using a SD or USB, and using an Ipad to control the data on a Rekord anaylised HD (like on the Aero - plugged directed into the unit)

According so what goes around the web, the technology is available for Serato and Traktor to code in order to make their software work with Nexus.

I am sure it wasn't intentionally to change HID rather than an improvement.

All the improvement you are requested (especially rom Aero) will just create more problems.  Do remember, these are professional equipment and many of these professionals have either SD cards or hard drives.  These nexus may not cater to your needs (not saying your not a professional but your request aren't standard)

I would suggest ignoring Aero and let it go for a test drive and once it has a success, its best features will be imported into the next cdjs.

What I believe is the most important is to go post on Serato or Traktor to work on HID for Nexus as fast as they can because you and others upgraded but as for your other issues, make sure it isn't a user error OR your system itself.  I have an IT background and I tho it was rekordbox but in reality it was my Macbook that had an issue.  Took me 3-4 weeks to realized it. 

Traktor now has nexus HID support but it's lacking certain features, but that's an NI problem not Pioneer.

Personally, while my main wish is proper stability and no freezing, the next feature I'd like to see is as others have mentioned, Aero style browsing of a USB stick, HDD or SD card from an iDevice running RB, along with a proper native resolution iPad app. It's all very well allowing you to put all your music onto your iPad if you want, but it creates copies outside of the iPad music library and takes up far too much space (and takes a lot of time to transfer). SD cards are my favoured way of doing things, and it would be great to have my iPad as a nice big multi touch browser.

You might be interested to hear that at BPM I came across an iPad on the Denon stand that was running an alpha version of their Engine software which had scrolling waveforms in real time. Someone had left it on display by mistake and when I asked about it they quickly hid it away.

Pioneer acknowledges that not all known issues were able to be addressed with this firmware update and subsequent updates will be released to correct and improve the functions of the player(s).  Your patience is appreciated during this time.  To expedite the process, providing detailed information on the specific problems you are having will assist the engineers in solving any outstanding issues they have not yet discovered or managed to replicate.

Keep in mind that posting a problem here doesn't necessarily mean that the engineers can fix it in a matter of days - it takes some time for the engineers to discover the source of the issue, determine the fix, create a fix, test it, ensure nothing eles becomes broken, test it again, then issue it for the public.

In regards to the compatibility with other software such as Traktor and Serato, unfortunately that requires the cooperation of other companies with products they haven't necessarily had the chance to work with until the release.

Your patience is appreciated while the engineers work to continue to address the outstanding issues.
