Niels.... having all the features working 100 percent would be already a great thing!!! So maybe if you want nexus features you should think about buying a pair of them mate... sorry for being so honest.

Existing hardware will not be left in the cold -- the schedule for release may not be the same but there will be continued support for the CDJ2000 by way of driver and firmware updates in the future.

Is confirmed, that will be new firmware for CDJ 2000 Mk1?

Have you information, if this update include some of new feature from Nexus, or just "bug improvement"?

Is there any confirmed term of this potencial update? (2012 or  xx/2013?)

Thank you!

@Ondrej > There has been no confirmation of any new firmware for the MK1 or what it would include. Pioneer will continue to support and implement functions where possible on the MK1 - as Pulse has outlined above.

@Gavin> Are the guys at Pioneer aware of what is happening here? (I mean loads of people getting mad with this kind of general statement and unanswered questions)

@Nicholas > Yes, we take all information and feedback very seriously. But I (as well as Pulse) have answered everything in this thread. Is a firmware for the CDJ2000MK1 confirmed? No and no statement was ever made that it would be. The only published upcoming update is for the CDJ2000nexus and DJM2000. Will Pioneer update the CDJ2000? Yes, it is still a supported product and any bugs that are identified and can be ironed out will be fixed. Any additional features that can be added, will be added. What did I avoid?

@Gavin> This is just my opinion, but I believe this is what you guys missed:

  • you (Pioneer) have to give an ETA, this is what professionals do when they fail in such a wide scale (almost unseen)

  • you (Pioneer) have to offer a roll back solution to poor professionals who look ridiculous playing on your decks when they freeze/drift/reboot... with their bank account laughing at them on the top of it. I think the worse is that the roll back is taking 2 mins per deck and can be done by a 6 years old kid.

I've just read through the financial statements that the company released on the 6th of november, take a look that's interesting: http://pioneer.jp/corp/ir/library/announcement/index-e.html

When I see page 8 that they consider the DJ equipment as a growth factor for sales in 2013 with a top product for the year being the Nexus, it looks that they clearly lost it!

So please put yourself together and go back to a professional way of operating business and treating customers before this is too late.

For a start, and this is cost free, put for download the 4.11 firmware again and explain to the people who want to do it the easy process of rolling back. You'll do yourself a favour.

Regards

Pioneer support came back today and advised a Beta firmware update for 2000 mk1 was currently being tested....whether that was to shut me up I guess we won't know but anyhow thought I'd share that with the annoyed 2000 mk1 crew ;)

@Nicholas > We did give an ETA for the Nexus. December 3rd. Reports of drifting again on the MK1 are just that at the moment - reports. I'm not confirming nor denying drifting has re-emerged. The engineers have to investigate and then confirm or deny drifting occurs. If there is a problem (I haven't noticed / tested) then they begin about fixing it or offering an alternative solution.

I don't see the Nexus mentioned anywhere in the quarterly presentation.

@Gavin

p24 you can find the nice pictures of the flare products... ;-)

There is an ETA for Nexus but not for MK1 which is the concern of the thread bro.

Also and this is the most important, you have to agree with me on the roll back. Pioneer clearly demonstrated they were unable to release firmware updates stable and properly tested (I am in fact amused we call them 'engineers'). They should consider each update as a 'Beta' version and the possibility to roll back to the previous stable version when something goes wrong. They obviously don't have the testing skills required to make sure their releases will be bug free. Why not just admitting it and deal with it? Is this just self esteem? Please help me to understand because I do not get it.

It was just a question... New firmware for DJM 2000 has been officialy confirmed with new function from Nexusu. Pulse wrote "Existing hardware will not be left in the cold -- the schedule for release may not be the same but there will be continued support for the CDJ2000 by way of driver and firmware updates in the future."...

... so I asked, if new fw is something official confirmed by Pioneer and if is confirmed, that will be some new feature from Nexus. Answer is "no", there isn´t anything confirmed around old CDJ 2k. That´s OK.

Nothing more... just a question.

@Gary > Are you sure you were both discussing the MK1 and he wasn't perhaps confused with the Nexus player. While there certainly will be more updates for the CDJ2000 there has been no announcement of any update for it yet.

Huge workload and a phenomenal amount of traffic here - we're querying a lot of things with the engineers to deliver the best support we can. I'm sorry if that doesn't come across - we are trying very hard and Pioneer are doing a lot to try to be more supportive.

Hi Gavin, I hope you enjoy your support holidays! Thank you for coming by and say hello but we're kind of sorted out here (cf MK1 Loops thread)... See you

lol

Tell me one time that you actually noticed or reproduced a problem in cdj2000mk1. Your players (cdj2000mk1) always run fluently (bug free) and I am sure your nexus players also don't have issues at all.

@Stroboscope > haven't noticed in the normal course of DJing / haven't had time to test for this exact problem - two different, mutually exclusive events.
