Have ya tried a USB stick or an SD card
does it do the same thing?
this feature used to work now doesn't. Im on the latest firmware and just bought a new SSD drive that stores my tracks its a crucial 500gb SSD. Load time is extremely slow when using search function, I have about 50k songs on the drive. Please advise.

Well I just tried it with my 500gb G-Drive and have the same problem. I think it has to do with too many tracks and with new 4.20 firmware. I'll try a USB stick soon.
Ok, inserted a USB with 10 tracks and they are now showing tracks played (dark green) pioneer reps maybe something wrong with too many tracks and version 4.20 on decks. Please advise.
I just tried with 3,000 tracks on a usb, connected an MK1 to a nexus linked, Played the track on the mk1, after a minute the track is marked on the nexus as played (dark green) but on the mk1 it stays light green until I load another track, then it goes to dark green, Shot a video to be more clear, maybe do the same so we can see your players too if you can. in the video it turns at 2:00 probably because I had the pitch on "wide" to speed the process up

as far as the slow search, i have 24,000+ tracks on a usb drive, I have complained since day one about how slow and unreliable the search is from the needle strip, it is so slow to find the track then when you eventually get to see the list of tracks, you cant scroll and it's locked up, eventually it starts to work so you load a track which again, takes forever. The nexus however does this very well in case you are interested, the search is VERY fast
I have 55490 tracks the cdjs don't seem to like that many tracks to turn dark green when played I don't get it i still think its that I'm over some sort of threshold. Ill delete 25k tracks from my External G drive to test.
heres a link with the ssd playing a track

and with a usb thumb drive
No input from the pioneer reps eh?? Knock knock @gavin.
so BriChi , you have a collection of 24000 + tracks on a USB drive...
And the nexus does not lag at all ?? That is a very big improvement comparing to the mk1...
I don't think my collection will ever contain 24000 tracks...
so If i know It wont lag with even that amount of tracks... I think i'm going to be fine ;)
@TheOne, correct, That was one thing I was VERY happy and impressed with, On the MK1 with my collection it was VERY laggy when using the search feature, It is really fast now on the Nexus
thanks for the feedback!
those "features" aren't listed, and can only be reported by users like you... glad to know this
No Problem, definitely should be in the notes like "faster searching for large library's" but I guess then they would admit that they're searching on the MK1 sucks, lol
I just tested with a usb drive, 23,000 tracks, they turned dark green after playing for 1:00 and then loading the next track. so weird, maybe it's above like 25k that it causes your issue?
Brichi I really appreciate you testing with me! At one point when it was working I also had 25k tracks. I believe there's some threshold I passed going to 50k
