[CLOSED] HID bug in Serato

Been experimenting lately with my setup and have discovered an interesting bug using HID mode in serato.

Currently using 2 cdj 900s and a cdj 2000 all in HID mode in serato. i have found that the loop/cue call buttons are not responding to their corresponding deck - some are not working at all, some are calling loops on the wrong decks, and some are working fine.

i'm also experiencing odd behavior with the loop out button on certain decks as well - when hitting exit loop (to disable the loop) sometimes i'll get pushed back to the beginning of the loop, with it still enabled.

the only way i can seem to make this all go away is to use 2 cdjs with serato set to HID mode on Decks 1 and 2 only. any other combination (2 and 3, 2 3 and 4,) yield this issue.

been trying across different computer platforms, operating systems, and serato versions all with the same results. all cdjs are run through the same USB hub which is not powered. serato interface is not included in the hub, nor is any other device for that matter. any ideas?

@Telos > Sounds like you may have a mapping issue which is why some things aren't working as expected on the respective decks.

thanks for the reply gavin. you know what the next question is going to be...

how can mappings be wrong in serato? more importantly, how can they be fixed?

@Telos > Oh wait, when you are using two decks everything is fine but when you add the third deck you get problems, right?

in serato you have deck numbers. if i use 2 decks and assign them to decks 1 and 2 in serato all is good. its any other combination of deck numbers that cause a problem - it could be 2 and 3, 1 and 4, or three decks like 2, 3, and 4. all combinations cause issues besides 1 and 2.

and just in case anyone is wondering why i'm changing deck numbers, here it is - i've been a 2 channel guy for years, but have just switched over to a djm900nexus. i'll be using 4 decks in the end, but my 2 'extra' decks will be above my mixer, in between the outer cd players in the case. i want them labeled from left to right and i'd like everything to coincide all wiring and channels with their respective numbers. maybe a little OCD, but it's a logical setup for me that allows me to think fast and easily should i ever need to fix anything in the middle of the set in the dark.

i'd be happy to post a video if it helps. i'm sure this is a little weird to visualize without any help from me!

@Telos > Please do, that may help. Have you asked support on the Serato forums? If so, what did they say?
