lol how absurd!
I am starting this thread as I think that a pattern is emerging when owners of the cdj 2000 mk1 update their players to f/w 4.20 shortly after the player dies form some sort of CPU error . Cold this f/w update be the cause of the player to die when it was working fine before ? Possibly to push up the sales of the nexus player ? Hmmm

lol how absurd!
U Mad Bro ?
LOL, yes cause clearly I would buy a $2000 new player vs replacing a $200 board, They are not doing this on purpose Mills, I know plenty of people running 4.20 since release date 4-5 times a week with 0 issues
It was Just a comedic post and I feel for any punter who has to deal with a player meltdown ,Pioneer should support these people and get the players fixed at a better price ,seems like a kick in the teeth when a player gives up so soon and yet the 1000's were so solid ad stiil are , I dread the day I see E numbers on my CDJ's.
Lol nice, and yes, should definitely be looked into why this is happening and be supported. Same as Ethernet and USB ports breaking constantly
crazy. my classics have been blazing the 4.20 erry day without a cough
Haven't used mine very much lately. Off and on throughout the months But not on a daily basis. But haven't had any issues. I keep my players stationary and only use them on occasion. I hope they last and don't just out of the blue break down. Everything seems fine so far.
Make a Statement Pioneer. Slap a 3 year warranty on your products!
yes , how come that pioneer only has 2 years warranty ?
At the beginning the cdj 2000 Mk1 also had 2 years, later it changed to 3 years....
Do I actually need to address this post?
haha gav, they are just messing with you ;)
Gav, could you take a look at my previous posted tropics ?
thanks
Companies are out to make money. Why build a product that will last forever when they can build one that lasts the life of the warranty and then falls apart? They want you to upgrade. Ever have that electronic you thought you should just fix but buying a new one was cheaper... do you think that happens by accident? Companies spend hours figuring out how to get you to buy, buy, buy instead of repairing. That's why everything breaks just after the warranty... It's planned that way.
Just like Pioneer could make RB user friendly (Being able to adjust, set, fix things on RB using the CDJ but instead you must disconnect the link and do it through RB while other things you can do through the CDJ???WTF! The only reason Pioneer doesn't address this is to piss me off.
;-)
I jest of course...
Okay, I think we can close this now.
