[SOLVED] Searching for songs on CDJ2000 NXS

hi wondering if anyone can help? I like searching for specific tracks by searching firstly for genre then browsing the artist then track name in that order. After eporting my tunes from rekordbox to my usb i seem to get "genre" - "artist" then next to artist on the display of the cdj "ALBUM"

I have tried deleting the album information from the track but it still shows up. Its annoying because i imediatly want to know the track title from the artist, i mean who wants to know what album it comes from?!!

im probably completely overlooking something but could somebody point me in the right direction... thanks

Phil, are you talking about the "sort" option when you hit Menu on the deck?

When i use the jog dial. I turn it to "genre" press to select then "artist" is shown on the left of the display with the "album" category on the right. This is what i want to be the track name. Any thoughts?

Just had another look & the track names do appear next to the artist on some songs & a "musical note" is displayed however on other tracks the album information is displayed rather than the track name & what looks like a cd symbol is next to it. This is what i dont want i want the singular tracks relatiing to that artist NOT the album...... cheers

Sorry, album is part of the operational method and can not be removed to skip that step, even if the data is blank.

@philip > It becomes difficult to account for every different custom search so this method was chosen. I realise its a small inconvenience but its just one extra click.
