Hey Pioneer DJ community,

Here's my problem: I basically cannot LINK the CDJ2000  to the laptop - nor directly to rekordbox, nor through a switch. I tried all the steps mentioned in the "Read me first blog".

Firewall was switched off, CDJ2000s, DJM 900 nexus and laptop are connected to the switch (using channel 1 and 4 for CDJs, Player number is set in the menu, RCA cables are connected accordingly).

Ethernet settings were set accordingly. All driver's are installed. Newest firmware for CDJ2000 is installed.

Even the ethernet driver's were updated - no results. No light is flashing on the back of the switch, nor laptop, nor if directly connected.

I would appreciate your help!

Thank you!

DJ Green

sounds like your ethernet port may be bad Some things to try

  1. Plug a cdj right into you laptop, if the CDJ  player "1" does not start blinking to indicate that you are tryig to pull an address, the laptop is at fault somehow

  2. If you have a cable modem for internet, there should be ethernet ports for you to plug into to get internet, Disable your wireless so you are disconnected from the internet and try and get on using the ethernet port, again, of you cannot get on the internet, the port is bad.

I am not too familiar with Win7 so I cannot go to far into detail on what to try in there other then making sure you don't have the port disabled somehow. I believe in the BIOS when you first turn on the laptop you can go into it's menu and turn on or off the ethernet port, check that out, maybe for some reason it is disabled there
