FIRMWARE 1.13 - USB FILE FAILURE ... YOU STILL HAVE NOT SORTED THE BUG

Inlight of Serato 2.5 been compatible with the Nexus, I took the pluge of installing 1.13 on the Nexus

I used it on Friday and Saturday . BOTH NIGHT !! The CDJ crashed, the HD lost my files and they had to be rebooted.

What a complete pain in the arse this has not been sorted. Septmeber 30oth 2012 I First noted this bug - its pretty much a year ... and the Nexus is still FLAWED.

Im personally stick to death of them - every gig !!! Thast 4 or 5 times a week I have to reboot my SD or USB HD half way though the set. Im disgusted you have not sorted this.

@ RamonCC I have heard some have issues but I will say I have not yet encountered any to date. One to report but I am almost sure it was my fault (due to faulty Ethernet cable). I agree what DJcccc is trying to do should work but I'm not sure if knowing there are issues and simply waiting for a fix is the right way to go. Especially like you said with the rate of things getting fixed. Pioneer I assume see it as "do we fix a supported feature that barely anyone uses or should we create new innovative features to keep the cash rolling?" I agree this should not be but this is the law of the land. Luckilly for me Serato finally fixed their HID issue so that is my path of choice but Traktor works well too. There just seems to be too many advantages gained to ignore. He would essentially be killing a dozen or so birds with one stone.

One of the main reasons, i stated for detesting RB when I first brought my MK1 2000s in 2009 was the issue Rb would not analogise a single HD, you had to sort your collection then export it.

For me - someone who has always been based on a CD Like file structure - there was no way to scan though for "folders as the way RB regurgitated the data back onto the SD or USB - meant you could not brose via a file structure unless you didnt want to use RB.

I chose to continue to just use the files straight from my HD. I wanted to use the search feature on the Ipad or Android ... part of the reason I went for the Nexus was to update to Rb - then search my HD with the Ipad or Android and not have to continue to rely on my file structure database.

As you are properly aware you can still use a File structure without having to import all your tunes into Serato or Traktor.

For me I wanted to just use an Ipad and The exported library to manage my set. The fact that the Nexus doesnt seem to support this feature - along with the continued crashing on these players - really makes my blood boil especially as the CDJ2000 MK1 worked flawlessly with the folder in file method. Its just really disappointing and ive still not had a responce for a while on this Gavin...........
