i may be wrong but i think you need a djm2k to use the sync.
Hi I'm thinking of buying a set of 2 CDJ2000-Nexus along with a black DJM350. Will I have any limitations on the players' use due to having (only) a DJM-350? I was particularly wondering about the sync functions.
Thanks!

the sync will work when 2-2000's are linked together, the mixer is irrelevant.
The CDJ-2000Nxs will work no matter what mixer you use.
If you use a DJM-900Nexus or a DJM-2000Nexus you will be able to have features as quantise also in the mixer if you are using rekordbox on the CDJs and if the CDJs are linked to the Nexus mixer.
But if I were you I wouldn't buy a DJM-350. I have one and the only good thing about it is that you can easly record your sets through the USB port.
The effects are only for the master channel, not for single channels, and when you get better at mixing single channel effects are very important.
If I were you I would buy a DJM-600, or, if you have a little more to expend, a DJM-400, both have effects for single channels.
Also, if you are going to use rekordbox on your CDJs its a good idea to have Traktor installed on your computer.
With a software called Rekordbuddy you can use the grid analisys from traktor on rekordbox.
Its a good idea because the grid from traktor is very very good, and the grid from rekordbox... not so much.
Thanks for the replies,
Maybe I'll go for the DJM750. It's affordable and good value for money. But then how do I record my mixes? Do I have to wire the record out to the computer? Wouldn't that cause problems when using the audio that's coming from the computer?
thx!
the audio is coming from the computer because you are linking thw cdjs with the computer's rekordbox or you are using a dj software like traktor or serato?
No, sorry if I didn't explain it properly. I will often use the audio of the computer on the mixer so I have proper sound quality in the headphones when gaming, etc. I was wondering if in that case there will be a problem when the record audio of the mixer is going back to the computer, creating an infinate loop (like when holding the mic in front of the speakers). Or maybe I can deselect the soundcards input on the computer when gaming...
Thanks.
i dont know if i understood haha, but i dont think it will be a problem, just dont game and record sets at the same time and you will be fine.
Just to let you know I got my set of 2000nexus along with the DJM-850 a couple of days ago. Takes a while to get used to all the features, but they're awesome!
By gaming do you mean playing music or..?
Good to know! You made the right decision,
