CDJ 2000 NXS Freezing...

Hello, i try to read all post about this problem, and all look to old to not be already adressed on last firmware...

My Brother has a pair of CDJ 2000 NXS and as im a Ti Professional, im trying to help him with these problem...

He update to last firmware 1.21 without a problem, using a nobreak to update and avoid energy problems... , but, he report some problems with some buttons that stop to work and random freezing...

My Suggestion is to re-firmware again with same version , but thats not happen , i believe same version can't be re-applied...

So, any suggestion.!? using just the USB Pendrive , no freezing incident... but the a button to reset pitch dont work in either with or without LAN...

I thought about a re-firmware maybe solve these problems... but i can't figure out how to force the same update twice.. on Routers , we downgrade a little version behind and re-firmware with last..., but before any try i came here to ask for help ;) , Thanks for your time and sorry my Bad English.

* As soon CDJ Freeze, RB detects a Dead CDJ and change The respective CDJ icon from Green to Gray..

It's not possible to re-update the firmware, it's not possible to install again an earlier version. Pioneer does not allow that. I think Pioneer is wrong on this. In the past months there were many problems with firmware and they introduced new bugs in almost every new release of the firmware. The poor customers who did all the upgrades were stuck with the bugs and couldn't roll back because the arrogant way of Pioneer to deal with this issue.

The freezing that you are experiencing are most likely caused by the rekordbox link, not by the firmware, which now seems to be stable and not affected by critical bugs. If you are on rekordbox 2.2.4 try to use an older version, people on this forum report that they have problems, Pioneer says it's their fault because of their network/firewall setup but before upgrading to 2.2.4 their rekordbox link was working....

Also try to investigate the network setup, use a separate network only for cdjs and computer detached from your home LAN and so on.

I personally use rekordbox only to put the music on USB sticks, I'd never gig with rekordbox, I find it dangerous and unreliable but many people use it without problems here on this forum and might be able to help you.

Thankyou Julia , i appreciated your Help and Agree with you, at least pioneer could allow us to re-apply the same version , just in case... , And you are right about problems with RB , without it , is more stable, i will go send to my Brother your considerations.

The problems he have with "crazy buttons" by the way, is with the good CDJ Unit , not the one that's crash, crazy firmware... and he never do an update before on this two units , that is relative new with him...

The Worst notice is about to wait a new firmware realease and pray to solve this problem....

About the network, im build for him, is just a 100mbit Switch(better than Hub) with CAT6 Cables and its only connected to the DJ Equipment, and was working like a charm before firmware update, no Firewall involved, no Router involved...

So, Thankyou very much for your attention and time..., U help a lot , because we are thinking about hardware problems... and still can be , if firmware can cause this kind of damage.., but we hope for the better...!!! Thankyou..!!!
