Pioneer won't offer tech support here but it sounds to me the ribbon cable is loose, But its just an assumption

CDJ2000 Nexus - Jog Dial Display not staying lit or lighting up
New to pioneer CDJ2000 nexus, so i have a question that maybe some one can help me with, The center Screen, (the jog dial in the middle of the platter) is not lighting up and occasionally when it does light for a moment or two, it doesn't stay lit. I have a feeling its some sort of software thing, because if it was really broken, then it wouldn't light up at all. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, unit is brand new btw. Trying to save myself the hassle of having to ship it back to dealer.

if i press on the top, it will light for a second or two then go out…i would open it up but I'm a little nervous to do so with a brand new unit… u think thats it?>

i couldn't say for sure obviously, could be a loose cable or bad screen, Opening it voids the warranty if they detect it sooooooo......
