Issue with CDJ350/DJM250

Hi, extremely frustrating issue....

Have recorded one mix via Virtualdj 7 just using the laptop, no controllers, came out fine...

Now, with my laptop linked directly via USB the CDJ's, when i record a mix within VDJ, it sounds fine on the monitors, but when I play back the recording, I can hear EVERYTHING i'm doing, the crossfader in vdj doesn't seem to do what my external one is doing...

How can i solve this?  Should i be plugging the audio out via the headphone jack on the laptop perhaps?  Or is there a way to map the mixer to VDJ??

Please help, I bought this laptop for this very reason and now I can't do what I want! :(
