[SOLVED] CDJ900NXS jog wheel question

Hi, Yesterday I got myself a pair of cdj900nxs players and I really like them. There is something I noticed today. On one of the players, the jog wheel feels a little bit different (a bit rough) for about a third of a rotation while applying normal pressure to the top of the platter. It doesn't sound any different from the other, but I wonder if this is normal. The position where it happens is always the same. From the cue button up to about the 12 o'clock position. The jog wheel spins freely and isn't jamming or rubbing. It's just like the surface of the track isnt perfectly flat.

Jog wheels are mechanical devices and there will be small variances in them from production and use. Continue to use them and they may "loosen up" to feel more consistent. As Pioneer warrants their products for one year, if you still seem to have an issue with them at around the 6 month mark, consider having them serviced under warranty.
