FollowXDJ Aero Firmware Problem - Folder indicated as EMPTY
I have been experiencing this problem for many times and it happens when I'm using my external HDD formated to FAT32 with many folders and subfolders, and with mp3 beeing not analized by Rekordbox. I have so many folders with subfolders dividing music by date and genres so I will never bother spending my time re runing it through rekordbox.
When I'm starting deejaying everything works fine - I can see files in my folders and subfolders, but after a while everything stops working properly. Some folders are indicated as EMPTY and the only solution to this is to re-start AERO. It works fine for a while but brakes again and again. I started carrying with me CDs so that I can use external CD player via a different mixer when I'm restarting AERO.
I have just upgraded from 1.02 to 1.06 firmware, so the most up to date firmware and it didn't help. For me it is a definite fault of the firmware and might be something to do with a use of the internal memory of the AERO which after remembering reading data is full and cannot process any more of it.
Pioneer, please sort it out! Running all my music through Rekordbox is not an option.
Another related issue is Rekordbox on my iPhone. When the song is not analized and I load the song into AERO it keeps warning each time that it was not analized. Why there is no option of turning it off? It is annoying.

Considering this because it will work without the use of laptop of gig but if it's not stable then forget about it.
I think this is the same problem Im having ! With the Nexus !!!
THE CDJ 2000 WAS FINE !!! :s
jsut had an aero update now and still the same issues. I think the issue might well be rekordbox not the units
No, it is not Rekodbox issue. When I have resetted AERO and didn't use Rekordbox it was still the same problem.
Pulse, is there a chance it will be fixed? Could you please let the Pioneer firmware engineers know about that problem. Every gig I need to reset AERO at least twice within 4-5 hours.
Same issue here I was about to return the unit for a FULL REFUND but since other people have the same issue I will wait for a reply from Pioneer about this common issue.
This is the same problem im having with the CDJ 2000 NEXUS !!
Not only on the Aero, I have to reset my Hard Disk after 2 to 3 hrs ...
Or turn off the CDJ.
Obvs an issue with the current firmware, I dont use Rekordbox, just MP3S on a USB SSD Hard Disk.
Some major issues with the AERO AND CDJ 2000 NEXUS !! #SORTITOUTPIO
It seems any firmware update from 1.6 onwards is faulty. I updated my firmware on the Aero to version 3.0 and it disabled the MIDI function
