What is the error code?

If it is 8305, check if the song is encoded at 48Khz, and if it is, then resample it to 44.1Khz

If you play it in Winamp it will say 44kHz or 48kHz.

Since I had the original Wav, I opened it in Sound Forge, resaved it as 44kHz and then encoded it as Mp3 again.

So I encode it to 44khz then convert that back to mp3 and that should work, have u had success with this does it work every time on the aero

I had roughly 150 songs that didn't work on the Aero (e-8305), but worked just fine on the CDJ-2k and in RB.

After I re-encoded them to 44kHz, they all worked.

I said that you can use Winamp to see if the song is 44 or 48kHz... Not use it to convert anything.

I have the original wav-files, so I just used Sound Forge to resave them as 44.1kHz.

You need to either find a program that re-encodes the Mp3 or convert the mp3 to wav, and then do something with that.

can't help you more than that...

or, well... I could google it for you *hint, hint*  ;-)

Is the re encoding something totally different to bit rates

Oh lordy.... Ok, Bren... First off, those tools for downloading files from YouTube and encoding them are dodgy at best. I'd run the files through mp3val first and see if that cleans them up. If that doesn't work, check the sampling rate as Wicket points out above.
