That s too bad...i ve seen that the xdj aero has an TSI file for tractor, why not the xdj r1 got one?i m using traktor pro in the club from the beginning of traktor and i m a bit afraid to use virtual dj LE because i don t know how he stands in a club performance.

It is a midi controller after all isn't it?  So, you should be able to map it yourself.  Takes a bit more work but would be usable.

It is a midi controller,but the interface of traktor is diferent from the xdj...it doesn t fit properly like the ddj t1,of course the ddj t1 it s special for traktor.

Hola, no hay un tsi concreto para la xdj r1 todavia, pero si para la Aero y son iguales a lo que controles se refiere, yo uso traktor pro con la r1 y va perfecto con el tsi de la aero, ademas puedes utilizar a la vez el traktor, los cds o el usb indistintamente solo hay que decirle a la r1 en configuracion que el mixer va en modo pc y listo, es una pasada.

I just bought the XDR-R1, I dont mind using it with the Remotebox/Rekordbox app. but Virtual DJ is useless. I want to get this hooked up with Traktor ASAP as I really like the controller - anyone know any info/timeframe on Pioneer releasing the .tsi file like the did for the AERO? Thx

@Deejay Marius > The TSI for Traktor on the Aero wasn't available straight away. That came after the unit had been launched. If I was to guess, the TSI for the R1 will probably come soon but I'm not sure.

@Charles > Yes, it is a MIDI controller and you can map it yourself. You'll just have to choose what features and functions you want to map to the corresponding controls.

Downloaded the Aero TSI file from Pioneer & imported into Traktor Pro 2.6.1. The XDJ-R1 is now on version 1.04 but still ca'nt get it to work with Traktor.

Can you post up an exact step by step guide as to how you got this to work please.

I have a question : "Why releasing a controller who doesn't support best softwares of the market ? (i mean Traktor and Serato)". I want to buy a new controler / all in one, XDJ-R1, seems to be very good, but only because i can't control Traktor Pro 2, i will buy it and keep my NS4 from Native.

Thanks BTD10 got it sorted. In Port & Out Port in Controller Manager were set to "none". Thanks also to Marten Van Basten for his TSI file. I just needed to add the "Master" button for each deck to work better for me. As far as I can make out the only bits left to sort are the Vinyl Mode button (if you want to choose between Vinyl & CDJ mode), the sampler, and the effects. Can anyone do anything about these ?

I only have my unit for a few days but I have found it very buggy so far - there's definitely an issue with Rekordbox analysed files playing from it & I've also found that when I switched from Midi mode back to my USB HD after a few minutes of not playing anything from the HD, the HD becomes non-responsive. I know that this is not an issue with the HD as I have used it plenty of times on CDJ2000s without issue & also connected directly to my laptop using Traktor. Pioneer please sort.

@Marten, very thanks to you for hard working to create the beta Version from TSI for Xdj-R1.

The Functunality are very good. For Pioneer it´s impossibel the next 2 Month, for you it´s possible ! Thanks a lot because i m a long year user of Traktor !!

Well after 2 weeks that i have the xdj r1 i can say if pioneer didn't do something for soft/hard-ware then the pioneers dj will return the xdj r1,many many many many problems,i didnt post anything because many users already do it and i expect a serious answers from pioneer to our problems.

I found this as I am considering upgrading to/purchasing the XDJ R1

Any and all issues that come up with new gear are always looked into.  As Gavin said it was a bit after launch when the TSI file for Traktor came out, so as we move forward I expect all to be taken care of and other companies to create working files for the R1 to use.  Appreciate the detailed posts for concerns..

Hey guys, I loaded the tsi into traktor and set the mixer mode onto PC in the utility settings on the R1 - still getting no response from my laptop though...any ideas please? thanks
