XDJ-R1 pitch slider knob

Dear Pioneer,

I think the xdj r1's pitch slider knob is just not the best. It moves around,doesn't feel such premium just like on my ddj s1 controller. The knob is too small and thin it is hard to grab it accurately and set the pitch correctly The xdj aero's slider knob seems to me better (or any other advice?), so my question is the following: is it possible to replace the r1's knob with the aero's knob? If yes, how? Can i just pull it upwards and change it? I can't find a service manual on the net...
