Unfortunately the R1 does not offer the same "LINK" to rekordbox on the computer that CDJs do. You have to either use a USB device prepared for the R1, or export music to the rekordbox app.

[SOLVED] Can a laptop with rekordbox be linked to the XDJ-R1 - form of midi option/ storage bank
Hi there,
My primary set is a pair of 900's with a 700 mixer. I also have the R1.
I know that one has the option of using VDJ LE, but that's hogwash coz it has limited features and you have to BUY the VDJ8 to get full midi functionally.....which is not indicated to the user prior to purchase.
I just want to know, if you have all your music analyzed on rekordbox, can you hook the laptop to the R1, to be a form of a midi/ external hard drive, so to speak.
