FollowBagpack for Pioneer XDJ-RX ?
Hello
Foot or bike the solution to transport my RX XDJ would be via a Bagpack as the DJC - SC2 Pioneer model. Do you haveinformation on a possible output of a similar model for XDJ RX?
Thanks for your reply.

This thing is big. A backpack bag with a decksaver, or a flight case. I'm thinking more along the lines of the former, as the latter might be too heavy for the festival environment. Not seen anything specific from decksaver, Pulse do you know if Pioneer sent them a mechanical sample?
No clue, best bet would be to ask Decksaver. I know typically we see those guys and StyleFlip with their measuring tapes at the tradeshows. lol
Prodector is already out and looking sexy!
A challenger appears, lol! Still need the bag, dad...
I succesfully used this from zomo, bought on ebay for around 80 euros, not a backpack, but very light compared to flightcases..
@Fabio Do U have link for this bag? Didn't find it...
sorry for the delay Vindrek, this is the link on the zomo site:

Bumping this thread to see if anyone yet has experience with form & fit of any bag with the RX. There appear to be a number of suppliers with generic-sized bags, nothing quite yet with a custom fit, and I'm particularly concerned with the area around the display.
Odyssey seems to have something that looks decent: http://www.odysseygear.com/odyssey-products/brldigital3xl.html
but again this is for multiple platforms.
I hope Pioneer comes up with their own bag as the xdj-aero bag has been wonderful, although it was really pricy too.
I have not yet found something suitable. In the interim, I got a crappy keyboard bag. The DJC - SC2 is a great high-quality bag, it is too bad that RX's dimensions will not fit. I'd get that quality of a bag and fit in a heartbeat.
Hey Fabio, regarding the Zomo bag, I see there are two seperators to keep cdjs separate from mixer. Are these inserts removable or did you have to cut them out?
thanks.
hi Jason, everything inside the bag is removable, I use the same bag for the rx and for the 900s..
Thanks for the quick reply! Very frustrated by a lack of a custom fit bag for this unit. All the DJ-SZ bags look a bit roomy, and for some reason the Odyssey BRLDIGITAL3XL, just doesn't appeal, even though I know its probably the best/easiest solution. Wish Magma would produce an EVEN BIGGER Riot Backpack XXXL!
they are selling this also as rx compatible.. I love udg stuff!

Thanks dude! Although I'm not a big fan of that style of case, like one with at least a few pockets for cables and headphones and stuff. Anyone happy with that style could do worse than this one only released a few days ago I think by Magma which is at least a custom fit, straps on it look pretty flimsy though. http://www.thomann.de/gb/magma_ctrl_case_xdj_rx.htm
uh, I dunno, I had udg for cdj 400 and eks otus and they were amazing! awesomely made with pockets and zips for cables and tiny things.. I don't know about the bag I posted you, but it. may be worth having a look at the udg site for better description! never had a magma bag either so I cannot say any good or bad about it, sorry!
Deffo thanks. The UDG one like the Magma is just a case, no pockets or places to stash stuff. :-(
My ideal would be a custom bag for RX, but with shoulder straps so cab be carried on back, and also wheels on the bottom!!!!
udg and zomo have one shoulder strap, magma dunno. I think that for wheels you'll need to go for a flight case, but they are really bulky and weight twice the xr! I also had them in the past, but once you go for a soft solution, you'll never go back to cases.. just my 2c.
Oh I completely agree. MUCH prefer the soft option. I was just thinking my fantasy bag. Bit like my killer travel luggage. Its soft, but with a solid back, hand straps top and side, sife shoulder strap if required, but also two proper backpack style shoulder straps AND two tough little wheels one side of the base!! its kicks arse anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, its just slightly too small to carry the XDJ. The best solution Ive seen personally is the new Magma Riot XXL, but sadly it is also too small for the DDJ-SZ & the RX. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owiwZu_8E20
I see what you mean, that's quite a nice backpack for controllers! I'd love too to have 2 shoulders straps, but anyway got a nice deal on eBay for the zomo one and found it to be really nice, with alle the removable paddings inside, got it at the times of the 400s to hold 2 cdjs and the mixer, when got the 900s, it still worked fine and now it's keeping up also to the rx..forgive my English, I see the sentence may be not perfect but hope the message passed through! hahahaahaha
I'm still using a crappy keyboard bag (augmented with a decksaver) and the fit is not stellar: Bag is too wide, but not high enough for a good fit. Also lacks shoulder or backpack straps.
Really wanting that quality and features of Pioneer's SC2 bag, and those backpack straps for stability...
This one ALMOST did it.... long enough, deep enough, but goddamit not quite wide enough!!!! http://www.odysseygear.com/odyssey-products/brlrmxdg2xl/dj-backpack-hand-carrying-bag.html
Hello, I raise the debate within this thread for all owners of XDJ RX, still no news on the upcoming release of a backpack compatible with this device?
I got the Magma carrying case, very lightweight and should serve the purpose.
Now, I'm wondering whether anyone has experience flying with the XDJ-RX as the carry on? It's a bit over dimensions for the most airlines, but I thought it might be in the range of tolerance.
Yes, anyone flown with the XDJ-RX?
Someone mentioned this before...and I went after the link and the picures,,,,it fits!!! I just hope it's a backpack!!! http://www.odysseygear.com/odyssey-products/brldigital3xl/odyssey-triple-extra-large-dj-controller-bag.html in the last picture, it's a XDJ-RX inside!!!
Hello All,
For UK people wanting a padded bag for their XDJ RX, I asked Bags2Cover to price for a couple of different options. Below is there response. At present I have a full flightcase for mine but in November I have a gig in London & will need to carry my decks on a train + the underground & feel a padded bag might be the best option. From what I can make out you can ask for lots of different options

I think the best option is still a flightcase, this one. Swanflight do a super-slimline case for the RX, and I paid the extra 28 quid for it to be constructed from a cool red flight panel honeycombed material, and not plywood. The case WITH the RX in is about the same weight as the empty plywood case, and several kilos lighter and 3/4 inches slimmer than any other (empty) case I had found. I now wouldn't go back to a soft bag I don't think. I've taken it on trains, in planes, and in cars and I'm confident in a way I wouldn't be with a bag. I think bags are great for smaller (and cheaper) controllers, but at a certain size and price point, I think it's just too risky unless it you are simply driving it around in a car.
I sort of agree Jason, mine is currently in a flightcase, sadly not the swan version you have (wasn't being made when I bought my case). Although at over 15kg (flight panel) & 17kg (Stucco) with the RX in place, the Swan case is still quite a weight to carry around if your walking quite a distance.
The thread was started by someone originally wanting a soft bag that could be worn as a rucksack/over the shoulder for walking/on a bike. That was my reason for posting the link to Bagstocover
When I had my XDJ Aero in the dedicated soft bag it was great. I could fit everything in one place, hard drives, headphones, cables etc. Pick it up & away I went. Now with the flightcase I have another bag also to carry with all the extra bits needed.
My Aero never took any harm in its soft bag, I always really look after my gear though & never really let anyone else carry it.
There are now lots of great ways to carry our kit around its just finding the right one for your personal needs, maybe there could be a forum area dedicated to flightcase/flight bag/soft bag options for all the Pioneer DJ kit with people's thoughts & reviews.
