this isn't a bug, you probably have AUTO CUE off so a cue point is not being set automatically when you load the next track so the only cue point the XDJ knows is the one set on the previous track or set one manually when you load the second track if you do not want to enable auto cue. All CDJ's do this same thing

FollowXDJ-1000 Cue Bug
I'm running the latest firmware and its reproducible.
If I am playing a track and load up a cue point.... load up the next track in the same player after the previous track that has the cue point. Now if I am in the PERFORM window and doing whatever with hot cues with the 2nd song that was loaded. At anytime if I hit the CUE button it will switch back to the previous track that had a cue point in it.
Doesn't seem that should do that and could cause a huge performance accident.

@Aaron > As @BriChi notes, that's normal performance of the unit. Press and hold the AUTO CUE button and you'll see A.CUE appear in the display, telling you that it's enabled. Now, anytime you load a track, the main cue point will be set at the beginning of that track (based on the auto cue level setting; you can also select to have it auto cue to the first hot cue in the preferences).
I'm having the same problem with the performance mode. If I load a new track into the player and use the performance mode hot cues; it brings back the last track and cues. It has to be a bug in the firmware.
@Daniel > How are you loading the track? Certain methods DO NOT automatically call the hot cues from the newly loaded track and the old track's data will still be in memory.
What's the correct method to load a track to enable the right hot cues ? I'm scrolling through my by key sorted playlist and load the track via the encoder button.
@Tobias > If you are using the encoder to select off a list, it will load the hot cues if you have set them to load automatically on track load, otherwise the track itself will load and you need to manually press the CALL button.
That's the way it should be. Here's what happens to me. On the screenshot you can see I have loaded a track with the encoder which contains one hot cue (a). When pressing call it shows two hot cues where (a) is the one in the current track and (b) points to the last track. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wkg2mo3k9rxq8eu/Datei%2013.12.16%2C%2010%2059%2032.jpeg?dl=0
Very irritating also when activating slip mode the waveform below isn't visible any more so I can't say whetre my hotcues are set.
Even after pressing "call" for a few times the cue "b" which points to the last track is still here.
I can't seem to replicate this issue. Have you tried a different USB stick?
Yes already bought an corsair stick. Will try to replicate the error tomorrow and give you more information .
Bug is still there with a different USB stick. Maybe you could recommend me a USB 3.0 stick which is known to be working with the xdjs so I can make sure it's not my Sticks (transcend & corsair voyager).
Have you tried to right click on the track in rekordbox. ?
Select Auto Load Hot Cue in the menu.
then select Enable Aut Load Hot Cue
Reload the Track into the XDJ.
I hope this works for you.
i digged a little deeper and the setting in Rekordbox to Auto Load Hot Cue is a setting you have to do for every track individually. It is best to display the field "Hot Cue" as a column in the track list window. This way you can easily check which tracks are marked or not for Auto Hot Cue load and mark or unmark them directly in this column.
I've marked all tracks at once and Selected the "Auto load hot cue" field in rekordbox.
Did it fix your hot cue issue ?
No. I will try and check every track by track if Auto load is enabled.
Guys how do you do this without a computer connected?
We had a disaster at New Years when one of the DJ's (the last one to play).
He used his USB with one of the DJ's XDJ 1000's every time he went to play the track it went back to the previous track. Every mix on the left deck was like this and he was so upset that he just flicked forward to the track he wanted. The worst mixing i have seem :D
Very embarrassing at a €2000 production.
The point is that none of us could find the solution as the owner had only had the XDJ's for a few months and for some reason he mixed in a different way or something but he didn't know how to fix it, didn't help that he was wasted by that point. But there was no computer connected so no settings could be changed via rekordbox we needed hardware settings solutions at the time, there must be a way to set this on the XDJ or you can be in the shit on the night.
My experience is as follows: When you mark a track in rekordbox to "Auto Load hot cue", the hot cues will automatically load when you export them to a usb stick and load them in the XDJ. When the "Auto load hot cue" parameter has not been set in Rekordbox for a track, you can load them after loading the track in the XDJ by pressing call. (also explained by Pulse) The hot cues will start to blink and you can then select the hot cues.
I have not seen this behaviour for the CUE and PLAY button though. In my case these always work fine regardless of the setting in Rekordbox.
FYI: My rekordbox version is 4.2.5 and the XDJ's are on V1.10
In my case if Auto load hot cue fails it's this way: for example my playing track has two hot cues, and they are loaded. Then I'm loading the next track which had only one hot cue saved. This one hot cue is loaded, but there's also a hot cue "b" loaded which points to the last track. I can press "load" as oft as I want, hot cue a flashes and loads, but hot cue b stays.
@Tobias, what do you mean with "if auto load hot cue fails" ?
I can only see that happening when the track parameter has not been set or when there was a problem exporting the track to a usb stick.
please note that the behavior you explain is not a bug but a feature.
it allows you to use hotcues from the current track and the previous track.
The problem is, it is not very well visible on the screen whether the hotcue is from the current or the previous track and this is confusing.
