Could someone please tell me what i need to set up my cdj 400s to control traktor 2 with sample decks. Do I need an Audio 10 or will an audio 6 work. I will be using my djm700 and want to not only dj but record my sets. Please help, I cannot find the definitive answer.

Other then that , No you do not need the soundcard the cdj's have one built in.
You only need the USB A to usb B type cable (Both male sided) and connect the cdj via usb via HID everything should be fine.
Sample decks i don't know , I guess yes but a cdj isn't a drum machine or something of that kind?
@DJ Jmac > Your setup will require 2x CDJ400s, 1x mixer, 1x laptop running Traktor.
The CDJ400s have soundcards built in, hence you will not need an Audio10/8/6.
You will connect both CDJs via USB to your laptop. Everything else, you will setup as normal.
Are you on Windows or Mac? If you are on Mac you will need to download a CDJ Aggregator from here
