[SOLVED] Beginner: Starting with hardware using Virtual Dj Pro Full

Hellow,

I'm planning to buy the RMX-1000 but first i want to know if this is working on a pc with Virtual Dj Pro full (used for 9 years now) ? Also i'm using VDJ to record my sets. I'm really new to this and want to start with the real thing. I just had for some years the Gemini CDM-500 but thats all now i'm looking to buy DJM-700S and CDJ-2000 and using VDJ as well. Would you recommend this as beginner ?

Thanks and hope you can help me.

I think you should drop VDJ if you're going with 2000's...

Virtual DJ wil only limit you , the RMX is an effector and not an controller e.g. you need virtual DJ to output via a soundcard into the mixer and the RMX will apply the effects.

In your case though I think a DJM900 + CDJ2000(NXS)  is the better solution.

Waveform is available on the CDJ2000mk1 as small one and on the CDJ2000NXS there is a big waveform.

If you want to use VDJ PRO FULL I would go for the CDJ 850s and DJM850. That way you save money and have native HID with the players and be able to MIDI map the mixer for video mixing if you want of use it as normal and use the effects on it.

@Kevin > Start with the CDJs and a mixer only. Then decide if you really do need a software solution as well as an effector unit. Two CDJ2000s and a DJM700 would be fantastic starter equipment!
