Ok, this happens 75% of the time.
I'm using a Rane 62 and two CDJ-2000Nexuses in HID mode. 2 hours into my set, the deck that I am cuing up stops producing audio. The transport controllers like cue buttons and everything respond. The screen says the deck is playing, but no audio is getting into the mixer. I usually have to restart to fix the problem.
Computer specs:
2.4 Ghz Macbook Pro
16GB RAM
Rane 62
CDJ-2000Nexus (in HID configuration)
Serato Scratch Live 2.5

not much I can say other then if you are passing the serato box thorugh a USB hub, don't, It is recommended that the mixer or SJ box go directly to the laptop, the 2000 has nothing to do with the audio, it is simply to control "buttons" and pitch in serato. All audio is based on sera to, the mixer and you laptop.
Maybe try Serato's forum to see if they can recommend anything?
It might be a USB issue...the reason why I brought it up here is because, it only happens when I am using the CDJ's in HID mode, never when I'm in timecode CD or timecode vinyl mode.
does your 62 pass through a hub? if so, the 2 cdj's added to that could be screwing it up?
I wrote a more thorough report on the Serato forums. I have gotten a more accurate report on it. Everything is on its on USB. The 62 has its own, the hub for the CDJ's on it's own. Below I am copying exactly what I wrote. The problem always happens to the right deck, in SSL and ONLY when using HID.

Ok, so whenever I use a Rane 62 with Pioneer CDJ-2000Nexuses in HID mode, there are times I noticed this would happened, but I have narrowed it down, that at exactly 3 hours (10pm to 1am at the club), my screen will slightly freeze, then the right side will stop outputing any music though Serato Scratch Live appears to be doing so.
I used to think this happens at random, but now I specifically know, it will always happen when I'm using HID mode with CDJ-2000Nexuses and it always happens at around 3 hours since startup, and the deck that stops working is always the left.
My quick fix to the problem is to have an emergency mix CD always ready to go in the CDJ, and while I play that mix, I restarted SSL and it works fine for the rest of my night. I also know it doesn't matter if I am playing straight all night, or if I shared a set with another DJ using another computer.

This problem existed even during the times I had Lion and Mountain Lion, and when I was only running 4 gigs of RAM.
I recently had Apple Care replace my logic board and my hard drive. The problem existed both times.
I currently run my music off a 1TB Lacie Thunderbolt hard drive. I used have a 320GB plugged into it's own USB slot. Problem existed both times.
Rane 62 currently runs on its own USB slot, I used to have it on a hub that ran with some of my controllers. Problem existed both times.
I always record my sets, so SSL is constantly recording.
Currently, all "controllers" including the USB from the CDJ's run to a USB hub (as recommended by Pioneer & Serato). Some nights I will only have the CDJ's on that hub, other nights I will have the CDJ, 1 Korg PadKontrol, and sometimes my iPhone for the Serato Remote app use. The problem still exists whether I use many controllers, or just the HID mode with the CDJ.
I would like to add, I have played in HID mode on CDJ-900's and using an SL3 as my interface with no problem at all, all night. That's including using the 3rd input for recording, and the 3rd output for my SP-6.
It doesn't seem like HID mode and audio output from the mixer should be related, but I hope I spelled out a good thorough description of this problem. It always happens almost exactly 3 hours after a first launch SSL.
