So, somebody gave me the tip. The problem lies in corsair USB sticks. Could someone please explain to me. How the brand of USB stick affects this.
I took a cheap USB 3.0 stick also FAT32........problem solved.
This is just weird.
Hi,
Just checked here and saw that I had to totally format my USB and export with RB 3.2.1......which I did.
Still no big waveforms.
I just bought the devide, so is this a firmware update problem or am I missing something?
Tim

@Tim > We've found that most of the time when a user has a problem with a USB drive misbehaving, the brand they were using was Sandisk. Corsair has been pretty reliable (in my testing), but it's possible that lower-grade / cheaper model drives from both companies use a similar or identical memory control chip which may be where the problem lies.
What is the model of Corsair USB drive you had problems with, and what utility did you use to format it with?
I formatted the drive with Windows 8 and used slow formatting. The model is Corsair survivor, which imo works fine with all your other products.
The one that doesn't have a problem......is a sony 32 gb
Tim, you have to analyze every single song on rekordbox, setup to automatic analyze. than connect your usb stick to laptop and will show on your rekordbox, than you can select all songs in your collection and drag to your USB.
Thanks. I allways do that. That isnot the problem. The problem lies in the brand of usb stick.
@Tim > Could you please try reformatting the Corsair drive using the HP USB Utility, then re-export and test again?
Well I'll be damned. That worked! Good stuff.
Hey I'm having simillar problems with the same USB drive. I'm going to test this formatting tool too
I have the same problem with the Patriot Supersonic Magnum USBdrive/stick, not quite a cheap USB drive in my opinion. I work with Apple, so the HP USB Utility solution as mentioned above doesn't help (Windows only). Please help me out!
If you have already updated to the latest firmware and have exported the tracks on your USB device from rekordbox and the large waveforms are not displayed when you load a song on the RX via the usual browse methods (read: not via Folders), please detail the steps you are taking so we can provide further assistance.
Rekordbox Version 3.3.0 // XDJ-RX Software version 1.60. All tracks on the stick are analyzed by Rekordbox. I use this stick every weekend in many different clubs and venues with many different CDJ2000 Nexus' without any problem seeing the bigger waveforms. I've bought XDJ-RX for at home. I am able to see all small track waveforms in the lower screen of the XDJ-RX. Only bigger wave forms in the upper part of the screen won't show up. what details do you need?
@Bart > Does it happen with every track or only select songs? What is the file-format of the tracks that are not loading the waveform? How are you loading them?
This happen with every track on the stick so far. (9023 tracks in total, I didn't test them all, but quite a few already) different file formats, some mp3, some m4a, some wave. Loading by browsing by scrolling through playlists made in rekordbox, selecting songs and load them on one of the decks of the the XDJ-RX.Memory points and/or hot cues made within rekordbox show up normally in the small waveform in the screen below.
Have you tried exporting just a handful of tracks (of one specific type) to another USB device?
Yes I did, all other sticks i've tried the XDJ-RX is all good! Only this specific Patriot stick is a problem on the XDJ-RX. But as said, on every 2000 Nexus there is nothing wrong with this stick.
Thanks, looking into it with the engineers.
Any update Pioneer folks?!
Have you verified that the database is being prepared for an XDJ-RX device and not a CDJ? You can find this option within rekordbox's preferences.
Of course, and by the way, CDJ is the same setting as the XDJ-RX:
In the settings you can choose: "CDJ/XDJ-AERO/XDJ-1000/XDJ-RX, or XDJ-R1 or MEP4000"
Please come forward with a solution..
I have the same problem with my RX. Also updated to v.1.8. Big waveforms won't show up but the small ones do. In my rekordbox library all the tracks are analyzed with waveforms showing. Even when I link my laptop to my RX and load tracks from rekordbox to the RX, the big waveforms still dont show.
Is there a solution already?
I've asked the engineers for a follow-up.
At a small gig and ran into the same problem. Big waveforms work on xdj. Doesn't work on the xdjrx. Not that I know much about the xdjrx but wouldn't the tracks with matching keys highlight like they do in the xdjs? Not happening on the xdjrx either.
@Sean > Have you exported the content from rekordbox to a USB?
Anyone with waveforms not showing up ... is there a chance those tracks are longer than 16 minutes?
After importing over 20.000 tracks and some sleepless nights of pain, I can confirm there is a 15/16 minute BUG with wave forms.
Import tracks into RB > Link xdj-rx > choose songs greater 16 mins > Load into Player > BUG busted :(
Import tracks into RB > export playlist to USB drive > Connect USB drive directly with xdj-rx > choose songs greater 16 mins > Load into Player > BUG busted :(
Same by each song longer than 15/16 Minutes.
Tested with latest Firmware
Hello all,
Sorry, but it is a limitation in the system RAM which prevents waveforms longer than 16 minutes from showing on the XDJ-RX. It works on a CDJ as those units have more RAM available.
Thank you for your kind understanding.
Best regards,
CRM, Pioneer DJ
Thanks for this information
I think it is a good idea to note this in the manual :)
Is there a way to add more RAM by myself? Yes it is ok if the warrenty stops.
I mean it is RAM like Notebook RAM or it's soldered?
BR
Sorry, the RAM is soldered and not user replaceable.
I have the version 4.2.2 of rekordbox box and firmware version 1.8, recently bought my xdj-rx, I've analysed 38 tracks to my usb, the make of my usbs are intergal, there just cheap ones, I load one track and the big waveform appears i then select another track and there is no waveform or bpm and it says I need to analyse my tracks for the quantize feature, I then take my usb out and the same thing happens over and over again, what can I do, is it worth getting a more expensive usb such as Sony or consair?
So did we have an answer for tracks that are less than 16 minutes as I am still having no joy
