OLAH Stuart. Can you explain how do you will connect the RMX-1000 to your XDJ? Do you Have the possibility to use a recorder unit external on radio station?

The XDJ-RX has two USB ports, with Deck 1 enabling playback while Deck 2 allows playback and recording at the same time. So two DJs can perform together and record their set, without sacrificing an input.

I haven't now the units physically to confirm that to 100% but here you are different options to try:

1.- Connect RMX-1000 to Deck 1 & one USB or HDD with Music to Deck 2. You have this USB port to play/rec.

2.- Connect the RMX-1000 throw the send/return option ( XDJ-RX master 2 to RMX Input and RMX Output to phono/Line1 input). This connection will be like a subchannel to record the RMX FX with level of fader 1 if you select the phono/line 1. But you only can put the RMX Efx to tracks that sound on deck 2. In fact, you only add the RMX EFX to HAlf tracks you play in that mode.

All is more easy if you add an additional mixer or an external recorder

Please, let me know your experiments with it ;-)

I too was looking at buying the RMX-1000 but this could be a deal breaker as I can not see away of recording (using the USB2 on the XDJ) to take anything the RMX outputs...

Could I not output to the RMX - then return it using the mic inputs which would then record?

Thanks!

The XDJ-RX does not have Send/Return capabilities.  There are workarounds for this, however.  You can split the signal coming OUT of the RMX sending one line back into your computer for recording in software like Ableton Live or Audacity, and sending the other line to your speakers.

Hi Pedro, thanks for getting back to me and apologies for not explaining.

I currently have the XDJ-RX and I was looking at purchasing the RMX 1000 to add to my sets.

I record my sets onto the USB2 port and I was wanting to know how I can record the effects of the RMX-1000 onto the USB.

Thanks Mark... I don't want to use a PC or laptop to record, so is there a way of bringing the signal back into the XDJ to record onto the USB2?

OLAH Michael again. Maybe it don't works but you can try the follow:

1.- Use Booth Out to listen the music you play.

2.- Use Master 2 to send the signal to RMX input

3.- Use the RMX output to send the signal to Line 2 back to the XDJ-RX

4.- When u are playing a track in ch-1 try to select Line 2 and up the fader to check that FX sounds

I know is a bit wierd but maybe it works and you can add some RMX Fxs to some recorded tracks...

Waiting for your news

Take Care

Pedro - this is exactly what I had rattling through my head but couldn't seem to figure it out - I'll give that a try in the shop and let you all know.

Thanks for all your help!

I know is an old thread but I bought the Rx. If I understood what pulse said so you can connect an FX hardware in this case an rmx and the only.waynto record my set ia using audicity, ableton or similar in order for the effects to be recorded as well?( The rmx effects) otherwise the only effects recorded are the ones built in?
