Suitable mixer for XDJ-1000 with traktor

I have dipped my toe in to the pioneer world with one XDJ-1000 added to my traktor S4. I like it and propose to get another and ditch the S4.

I want to carry on using traktor but I'm confused as to the options of mixer to maintain full traktor compatibility. Is the only option the expensive DJM-900NXS? Any ideas?

You can still use Traktor so long as the mixer you're going to use is Traktor-Scratch certified. On Native Instrument's website they list several 3rd party mixers that are certified in addition to NI's own mixer, the Z2, which is pretty great. Personally, I opted for the 900NXS. The reason being that if Traktor (or my laptop) were to crap out on me, I could carry-on the performance by switching from HID to Rekordbox and playing the collection from an external device (ex. hdd, flash drive, etc.). If you're looking to invest and have already picked up a single XDJ-1000, you might as well go all in an pickup a second XDJ in addition to the DJM900NXS. Also, a lot of shops will offer you a discounted "bundle" if you tell them what you're after. FWIW, I'm currently rocking two XDJ-1000 and a DJM-900NXS. Cheers.

Thanks for the response Craig. I think I will end up doing this. Just waiting to pull the troigger on the mixer as it's not cheap.
