Hot Cues not snapping to the beat

I use the pads/ hot cues to jump around the track a lot..
I notice that when I press the Pads it does not snap to the beat and I would get an error message saying something about sync button... I played with various Quantize value and it does not help. Could it be a reaction time issue between the software and the Pads (hardware)?

still having the problem? I noticed that it doesn't snap as tight as traktor. But similar-ish to serato. I'm using a DDJSX.
