Moving from Serato to Rekordbox 4

Hi All,

After getting a RZ i think now may be the time I jump to Rekordbox. I have 2 questions:
- How can I get my serato histories into Rekordbox? Ideally into Rekordbox Histories
- With my RZ, how can I enable continuous play of a playlist (when being using for background music)

Thanks

  1. create a playlist in Rekordbox named what you want matching the serato history crate, The open them side by side and drag the tracks from serato history into the new Rekordbox playlist window

  2. I don't believe thats an option yet. It has been suggested for future release

cue points wont come over, you would need a program like Rekordbuddy 2.0 which is not out yet but should be soon according to the developer at nextaudiolabs

Pulse, Barney (and anyone in this same boat) what are your thoughts about Serato VS Rekordbox DJ? I'm considering making the switch to RB but I've read about issues on the forums here. I understand it's new and might have a few bugs to be worked out... just wondering about feedback from real users who have experienced both pieces of software. Thanks so much!

I have been an avid serato user for 8 years. I will most probably make the full jump to Rekordbox to be honest. At the moment I'm just playing with RB at home, thinking this Saturday I'll play out with it fully

I have a DDJ-RX on pre-order ... I am pretty sure I want to go to RB as well. I've been messing around with it, setting cue points etc... there are a few things I like better in Serato, but a few other things I like better in Rekordbox. I'm just nervous to go with "the new kid on the block" without it being out in the wild a bit. However, since it's Pioneer, I think I'll be OK. They seem to address issues rather quickly.
