Help with CDJ 1000 Mk3 Jog Mode button issue. Changes pitch too!

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could help?

I have recently purchased a CDJ 1000 Mk3 from ebay. The seller has good feedback, and described the deck as in perfect working condition and recently serviced.

All seems fine with the deck, apart from an issue with the Jog Mode button. It doesnt always instantly switch modes (i.e. it needs a hard press a few times), and also now it changes the pitch mode too.

The seller has stated that it didnt have that issue before, and has asked me to update the FW to see if it solves the problem, but it is currently on v2.30 which i believe is the latest.

Any one got any help?

I recall another user having this issue back in the day, but unfortunately I can't recall what the solution was, nor can I find it in a search.

It could be that something was spilled and the edge of the button is stuck to the housing (a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a cloth might help clean it), as those two buttons may be on the same board and pressing hard on one may result in the other contact switch being activated.

You could always send it for servicing at Pioneer or find a local shop to clean and repair it for you.

Thanks Pulse. Frustrating you cant find the old post :(

Ive scoured the web with no solution.

I have contacted a local service centre to see if they have any idea what it may be.

if anyone else has some info that would be a great help,
