DDJ SX wont connect to PC- have tried three usb cables/updating driver etc but no luck!

Have had no issues whatsover before this and I have had the DDJSX working for months now- all of a sudden though, It wont connect to my computer.
I have a USB power surge issue warning pop up and I reset the USB port hubs and it is showing up other USB drives etc but the ddj just wont connect. It lights up but no connection. Please help!
I have tried three different cables but no luck
