Slow search or browsing

Hello. I have 2 cdjs 2000 mk1 and noticed that when I am browsing or searching tracks, it has a little lag on both decks. I.e. when I click on genre sometimes get 1 to 2 seconds to browse. I read on dj forums where it says that VBR files may have the cdj to be slower searching or browsing. I have 1tb WD hd with around 11000 tracks. What i did is to choose the CBR tracks that I also have on my HD and rekordboxed again and exported to a 64 gb pendrive and is working fine. So, Does anyone here is having this type of problem? Do I have to convert VBR to CBR files and re- analize it as I mentioned above? What coukd be the specific reason of slow browsing?

A bad database or other problematic files may be the issue, but it could also be that your WD hard drive goes into a "power-save" mode. You may check on the WD website to see if your model has the ability to disable that function through a utility you can download from their website. 1-2s is about the amount of time a drive takes to spin-up.

Ok thanks Pulse for your response. What causes databases to get corrupted or get bad? The solution I am currently performing is re analyzing the hole database and create new ones but in different USB and exporting them in different genres. Example, one usb rock, pop, r&b and dance the other one soul, oldies etc. That way is working flawless. Thanks again Pulse
