Is the recorded sound fully distorted or is it just partiality? I'm suffering also from bad recording quality with partial distortion like electronic crackling sound over the recording, even with the recording level bar only going halfway!?
ok, so i made a set using the rekordbox 4.02 and after doing the set it i listened to it and it seems that the trim is max out even if i adjusted the master output in the recording area? any help thank you.

Yes it becomes distorted. It only happens when the bassline kicks in. I made the record level into minimum but nothing happened. I just wasted my time so i did the recording on serato
Are you using DDJ-SR and what OS are you running?
I am very sorry that I unintentionally click [mark as spam] or [delete] button and your reply disappear.
Now I'm looking for a way to redo, sorry.
As for the issue, it is known recording issue when you use DDJ-SR with rekordbox.
Now our engineers working and it will be addressed in a future update.
ok i hope it gets fixed ASAP thank you
I'm using the ddj-rz. Sounds like a similar problem across the board

Thank you for reporting that, I'll check and report it to our engineers.
One question, what OS are you running on?
@Timbo Selector >
Please open the [DDJ-RZ setting utility] and set [USB Output Level] as [-19], after this try record and check whether it works properly or not.

This option can change the recording audio level. The more value like [-5], the louder and can be clipping.
Unfortunately, DDJ-SR does not have such a option.
Aso has tried working this issue out with me since the launch of the performance software. I am using a SR. The master volume in the software isn't effected when trying to adjust it using the controller. I found that lowering the trim to around 10 o'clock has made a huge difference in the recording quality until the bug is fixed. If it still comes out a bit hot, you can try using Audacity to correct it. Looking forward to the update for the SR, but until then, this method has worked rather well for me.
Ok so, I'm running off of windows 8.1 with 8Gb ram and intel i3 core, I bought this laptop this year so I thought it would be more than powerful enough to power it all but am considering an upgrade to a mac as the cpu doesn't seem the best.
As for the recording, I have tried changing the db in the utility menu but it was already set to -19. Have tried all other db ratings but still crackles over the recording.
As kevin has pointed out above, the master volume in the software seems to be stuck at about 2 o'clock with no movement when adjusting on the controller but does the volume.
So no resolve as of yet.
