Which version of rekordbox are you using for exporting & how do you set hot & memory cues?

- Just wondering which version of rekordbox you guys are all using for exporting? I'm sure a lot of us have upgraded to the latest 4.0.5 but I'm still using version 3.3.0 for preparation and exporting due to the inability to change hot cue behavior in export mode for version 4.0.5 yet. I find that my workflow in setting hot cues & memory cues via keyboard shortcuts is the absolute fastest in version 3.3.0. I'm missing a few of the bells and whistles which are primarily focused on Performance mode within 4.0.5. And a few export settings and extra things in regards to preparation.

- How do you guys set hot cues & memory cues? As a user that currently uses serato for select events (& just a former user of serato for almost a decade) I have my keyboard shortcuts to set hot cues based on the number keys for Player A. Hot Cue A would be "1" , Hot Cue B would be "2" etc. Then after setting hot cues I can easily punch out 5 less intervaled memory cues by typing the letter "c" then followed quickly by the letter "m" (I believe this is the default keyboard shortcut setting). In 4.0.5 I cannot set cues as quickly because of the program mimicking CDJ behavior. The song will keep playing after cue setting and playing cues. I think they called it Cue & Play or Pause Gate? It slows me down by having to stop the player and scrub to the proper location to set the next cue/memory cue.

A friend of mine showed me an alternate way to set hot cues in 4.0.5:

Go to preferences, advanced, and then others tab & then set the quantize beat value to "1" (This may be the native setting within 3.3.0 by default as I couldn't find a way to set this. Probably a newer feature exclusive to 4.0.5). This allows me to set cues on the fly while the song is playing granted if you have a little bit of rhythm or know how to properly count bars in music. (After setting the proper bpm and grid properly on the down beat) It allows me to set them on the fly without having to be so overly OCD accurate by scrubbing and super zooming to the exact portion of the track.

How does everyone else set cues and which version are you using to export currently? Would really like to know as maybe we can all learn something from each other :)

If you don't have the keyboard shortcuts assigned in 4.x, you can assign them to your liking in the preferences.

Personally, I use a hardware controller to create hot cues, it really is the fastest way.
