[SOLVED] CDJ 850 Plastic

Is there some reason the quality of the CDJ 850 is severely worse than the CDJ 800? The plastic is incredibly thin on these players there is no way this would withstand any sort of party environment where you may have to play outside of a stable area.

I'd have to disagree - I think the CDJ-850 is every bit as robust as the CDJ-800. I've given my CDJ-850 a good bashing (unintentionally) on occasion and its still as good as the day I got it.

Case and point the screw head on my mixer put a noticeable scratch on the one side just from sliding it forward. And how can you possibly believe that? The 800 uses significantly stronger plastic. I'm not saying the 850 can't withstand a few bumps. But it was obvious when they were building the 800 they had warehouses and deserts in mind rather than clubs and home set ups.

If the mixer sits beside the player, you wouldn't see that side anyhow.

The 850s are no less durable than any other player Pioneer manufactures.
