[SOLVED] FW 1.10, 2000 Nexus - Master no longer switches back and forth throughout mixing

This was brought up in another thread but i couldn't find it.

I do not use SYNC but i did enjoy having the 2 - 4 bar counters up top when mixing from the slave deck, now with the 1.10 update, the players do not aug switch to MASTER after a mix, normally once I raised the second volume and lowered the first, the live deck automatically became the master and now the slave had the 4 beat bar for both decks. Now I have to manually hit master each time I am done mixing if i want to use that feature. And no, i do not want to turn SYNC on for this feature to work, I hate the SYNC crap but the 4 beat bar is a cool visual if needed quickly during a mix.

can they put this back on?

it seems like they fixed """"""Unexpected switching of Master Player and Slave Player when using Slip Scratch or Slip Pause during SYNC.""""" but broke the master switching all together if sync was off

agree

Why do you hate Sync? Just curious as it saves time for me and that allows me time to effect or pick my nose. :-)

I have mixed feelings on it actually, I feel it's good to have it on to do other things like you said but for me, part of the fun in mixing is aligning everything and keeping it in sync, if that's done for me so to speak, It could get boring, Just my opinion of course

I understand. I agree, that's why I was joking about I had extra time to pick my nose but I honestly would have passed on the CDJ if it didn't have it. Being a bedroom DJ I don't care if the "Pro's" think I am cheating. I've seen Kutski use it and that was awesome! I only dream I could DJ as good... Can anyone tell ne if his scratching is all done with the cdj or serato?

This is his video (Is sync cheating) Not my style of music but...

This is more my style

seen the first video and as one of the comments says, and I agree with

"""DJ-ing is about the end result not how you got there because honestly ... your crowd doesn't give a shit if you sync or not and the crowd is more important!""""

Yes sir! I don't go into a club and think, I wonder if he is using SYNC! As long as it sounds good he can sync all night.

exactly! again, I choose not to use it but I would never not buy a deck because of technology in it that dj's may not like, You dont like it, dont use it, that simple

Just noticed this is a real pain when mixin in key as the suggested keys are the ones that mix with the master deck and if you forget that with this firmware the master isn't automatically assigned then you can get some totally wrong keys! Jus upgraded firmware and thought I was loosing the plot when I seen the suggestions ( when I forgot to manually switch the master)

Hi Everybody, my  first post in this forum :)

I agree with above. I have the same problem with the last firmware. It's annoying to assign the master every time to get the correct keys :P Whether one uses sync or not it's useful to have the master assigned correctly.

It seems to work for me when the rekordbox link, and make sure you press cue at the end of the track seems to do the trick

Lee, after 1.10. was instanlled and with Sync OFF, this used to work, now you HAVE to have Sync ON for it to switch masters from deck to deck. I have tried different methods and only sync on works, which I choose not to leave on being I dont need it and it does mor harm then good:

"if" yours really does work and switches master from deck to deck with sync off, can you video this with your phone or something and show us whatever method you are using to do this. It's hard to believe only yours is working after the 1.10 update, lol

BriChi - you where correct the feature only works when sync is on. This needs changing as if you dont use sync then the beat count meature is pretty much useless for you.

Even with Sync on its next the useless , Maybe its just me but its not half as accurate as Sync on Traktor.

Has there been any word on a fix for this?? think i upgraded from 1.06 to 1.13 and it has messed up the master switching!! It's a pain in the back side as its a feature i truly loved (i don't use sync btw)

Also since the latest rekord box update i have noticed that when changing the list order to bpm it loses the memory on the player the stick is in when you exit a playlist yet keeps it on the linked deck :(

Please sort this out pioneer!!!!!
