when you get back to the club, wiggle the cat5 cables in the back, the 2000's ethernet port is not the strongest and known to get loose. try bringing a different cable too, could just be a faulty cable

Follow[SOLVED] Link disconnection during my set - CDJ 2000
Hey
i had a big issue last saturday during my set in a club, at once the CDJ`s 2000 lost the link connection and the music was quiet :(
Anybody any idea how could this happen? It was the second time in 2 month that this issue happened to me. I think this may not happen during your set.
The setup in the Club
2 CDJ 2000, Firmware 4.06
1 DJM 900 Nexus
I played with one Scandisk SDHC 16 GB card and linked booth player
If sombody has a solution, please let me know
Thanks
Oliver

I guess theyre connected with the original ethernet cabel wich is delivered with the players, but ok ill try to get a new and hopefully a better ethernet cabel.
thanks :)
I'll say it's probably an issue with the cable (or ethernet connection) as well.
I was DJing after another guy who was using USB on one and link via ethernet to the other.
He was currently playing a track off the LINKed CDJ, so I went to connect a USB cable to the other one and just ever so slightly touched the ethernet cable. I nearly had a heart attack when it killed his link completely and the club went quiet.
Obviously the cable or ethernet port was a bit dodgy if all it took was a slight nudge to crash it out
@Hierro > Are the CDJs directly connected to each other or via a router? Have you tried using replacement cables? Please also update the firmware on the players.
The CDJs were directly connected to each other via the original delivered ethernet cable. The CDJs were from a rental agency, so i have to get in touch with them or i have to update them on my next gig.
CHANGE original LINK cables from Pioneer to another
