Im a Serato DJ user and have been for the past few years. Im using a DDJ SX2 controller but was thinking about upgrading to the XDJ-1000 soon, so I thought I'd jump ship and give Rekordbox a go. Theres just a few things I'm unclear about....
I was under the impression, that Rekordbox, was a program for Managing music, like iTunes (which I can't stand personally), and Rekordbox Dj was more like software for Mixing, obviously at the same time, being able to manage your music, much like serrate DJ. I downloaded the Rekordbox DJ which said it was Free, but now says its a 30 day trial. Im happy to pay for software I'm going to use but what is it that I am Paying for, Is it Rekordbox, Rekordbox DJ, or is it the Rekordbox Plus pack? And is the Trial I have for Rekordbox DJ or the Plus Pack, because if its for the plus pack I can't find any info on how it connects to my DDJ SX as it states.
Sorry to Bombard you with these stupid questions, but I want to get on the Rekordbox bandwagon sooner than later and I need these things cleared up.

Rekordbox 4.0 is a music managing software ... the plus pack is an addition that would make it also a performance software
Rekordbox 4.0 is free as managing software .. $129 will also make it a performance software (Rekordbox DJ)
I just jumped from CDJ's and Serato to XDJ's without SEarto. The performance version of rekordbox, which competes against serato is the one in question with the upgrade. If you just want to drop your music on USB's without a computer, but that is still free.
As far as getting music from one to the other, I exported each SDJ crate to a folder and dragged that folder into RBX
can I change over from serato dj to rekordbox dj with my same pioneer account?
