I have a CDJ-2000 I purchased about two years ago, recently it started having issues with the screen going off or pixelizing for a minute randomly. The music continues to play, and a screen sometimes will pop back on although sometimes I have to turn the power off and back on to get it to work. I've checked the firmware, and it is up-to-date. I don't know if there's a way to hard force a reinstall of the firmware, Or if that would even help? Or if its strictly a connectivity issue with the screen? Unfortunately, I live on one of the smaller Hawaiian Islands and there's no place locally to get service work done or checked. So I just want to make sure I'm covering all my bases before I ship the product somewhere on the mainland. Much appreciated.
@Steve > Sorry to say, but it sounds like a hardware issue. I know it sucks having to send stuff to mainland USA for servicing but that's going to be the best bet. You may speak with Pioneer technical support and find there's an authorized repair shop on the islands, but I can't say for sure, at the very least they're your next step.
