Itunes & rokordbox

Hi,

I have a major problem with iTunes.

I have used iTunes always as the background for Rekordbox, because its stored my music automatically.
I bought a record, iTunes saved it in his iTunes Media folder and from there I got it in to Rekordbox as a bridge. I did this for about 3 years. I stored my new records in iTunes with smart folders by date and taged them, the rest i did with recordbox.
I did this for a while and it worked, although it had some cons.

Now a week ago my iTunes decided to update itself. After that my iTunes got complete reset (never happend before). I've managed to get my tracks Back but somehow the "iTunes Music Library.xml" file is damaged. I lost all my playlists and most important my import date tag. So now i have according to iTunes everything imported at the same day. I have literally lost my whole library. (All my backups retrieve the playlists but not the importdate..?)

I am really done with iTunes and I would really like organise my music just with Rekordbox and skip the whole iTunes thing. In a way that at the background of Reckordbox is also well organised and not all my music just in one folder. But iTunes did by sorting it to album and name. How do I get that without iTunes?

So my questions are:
- How do I switch from my library on a iTunes music file to having it just for Rekordbox without losing everything on Rekordbox?
- How to organise my music folder, witch Reckordbox uses, easily and good.

My music library has now about 10.000 music files.
