How does the sound quality become bad? If you could, would you upload the recorded file to know what is happening.
As for settings, have you already try changing audio settings in preferences?

Sound Quality super bad after upgrading to Rekordbox 4
All,
I was using Rekordbox 3 to organize my tracks and set cue points and everything was fine. After upgrading to Rekordbox 4 Dj, the sound quality is super bad and blurred then playing. Also the whole program got way slower. Using newest MBP. Any idea what that could be / with which settings I'll have to play?

Very strange, when I record the audio using Rekordbox Recording feature the output is in good quality without any glitches... Just when I play the song "live" in Rekordbox this occurs

Sorry for late reply. Unfortunately, we can not replicate this.
So the problem is real time audio quality is bad, but recording file is fine.
We have some questions.
- Does this occur when you set buffer size as [512] or Maximum value (2016)?
- What OS are you running on?
- What audio device are you using?
- If you can, would you send us the bad audio file recorded by external hardware/software?
- How the audio quality bad? For example, too quiet, clipping, audio dropdown?

Hello there, Is this solved? I have the issue now. My mp3's and wav's have good quality. They sound goood in MediaMonkey but Rekordbox gives some strange scratching sound, like it's vinyl

I have the same issue.
Installed a fresh copy of Rekordbox DJ when I bought my DDJ RB.
Been using Virtual DJ without any issues for years.
Now, when playing music, I often get glitches and distortion in the music.
Internally recorded audio doesn't have this.
