Because these would make the mixer much more expensive. Therefore, we decided to give the DJM-900nexus2 a 96khz/24bit digital S/PDIF output in addition to XLR outputs.

My Behringer DSPs have AES/EBU digital outs and they cost just a fraction of a DJM.
