DJM S-9 El Capitan

Hey guys, I've just received my DJM S-9 and while it seems an awesome mixer on it's own, I cannot use it's full potential due to incompatible drivers for El Capitan. I know that Pioneer say they do not support El Capitan but come on, it's been around for 2 months now and they should get a driver sorted. It is not possible for me to downgrade so not an option, are there any beta drivers or workarounds people have come across that I can try out?

Thanks

Craig

Sorry, there are no updates and we don't have any estimated timeline at this point. Your patience is appreciated during this wait.

Hi Craig,
A new audio driver of DJM-S9 will be released today.
Download the new driver to solve the audio issue.

Thanks,
CRM, Pioneer DJ

Amazing news Keiko, thank you!

I am working on a little workaround too just in case, will report back later NickNack if necessary.

Hey guys, got a bit of feedback for the drivers - seems that some functionality is working but others not.

The mixer is now recognised as connected by the DJM S-9 Setting Utility but not by the firmware upgrader (I'm stuck on 1.0.2).

Serato recognises device now that drivers are updated and I can use the turntables to mix and trigger FX but looping and triggering playback from Cue Points with the pads does nothing. The cue points work with pad triggering when I set control to INT, but then I can't use the turntables to control the mix. The yellow bar at the bottom of Serato keeps popping up with "Error Connecting To Device. Please Ensure Device Drivers Are Installed".

I may be missing something as new to Serato so any comment welcomed.

Great start though, at least can dj with the mixer!

Thanks

Craig

Aha, hang on! Everything works if I set control mode to REL rather than ABS, can somebody confirm that this is to be expected? I'm an experienced DJ but Serato noob!

I was able to get everything working just fine with this latest driver update (including updating firmware to 1.04). I had to reboot my machine after installing everything, but all works well. Thank you guys for not taking any longer to release this driver!

I've tried reboots, removing and reinstalling but cannot get the firmware update to work, I'll maybe take it to work or use a Windows machine to update it to see if these "Error Connecting To Device. Please Ensure Device Drivers Are Installed" messages go away in Serato, having a lot of fun with it though!
