More Hot Cue Points?

Hi,

I'm a Traktor user but I want to change to a XDJ 1000.

In Traktor I'm used to have 4 till 6 Hot Cue Points for a better timing and beat juggling. Right now I can only see 3 Hot Cue Points on the XDJ 1000 "A" "B" "C" but RekorBox supports more, is it possible to see more Hot Cue Points Buttons like "A" "B" "C" "D" "E" "F"?

Thanks

Frederick

Correction -- the CDJ-2000NXS2 has 8 hot cues, not only accessible via the dual banks of 4 on the player, but also a connected DDJ-SP1.

On the XDJ-1000 there is only 3 hot cues currently displayed in the GUI. Many users have asked for additional options however we are unsure at this time if that functionality can be included.

you are supposed to buy a pair of NXS2 if you want more than 3 hotcue softbuttons on the touchscreen.... :-D

That is not true.

NXS2 offers physical hotcue buttons that can be "split" allowing for 6 hot cues. I'm sure there have been many requests for upping the number of hotcues. Personally, I would like a screen dedicated with 6 large hotcues that fill the screen, an "alt perform" screen if you will. Keep in mind, the XDJ-1000 just turned a year old so it's still in its infancy essentially. Give Pioneer time to rollout the software and find tune their Firmware and subsequent hardware GUI.

Cheers.

Hope you are right.

To be honest after releasing the NXS2, I am quite afraid that Pioneer will focus on selling as many of these as possible, ditching other products in the line... :(

@Pulse just wondering If the company knows that many people are asking for it, what is stopping the company from adding it??? - how many people are you expecting to force buying nxs2 with this step and how many people you are expecting to really do that?

They know, we pass along all the comments and requests.

What's stopping them is the design (or redesign) of the GUI is expensive, and if the code on the player wasn't designed to load more than 3 hot cues, it would take reprogramming of that as well, in addition to re-allocating memory space for the audio buffer around those additional hot cues. It's not like they just go in and say "well, instead of 3, make it 4 or 8."

Makes sense but still there is a huge chance that this will make more people deciding for this product instead of any non pio consoles or make them not to use any other sw/hw solution to get around this what means the desired profit for Pioneer.

@Carivez

It would be sweet but you could already know that Pioneer is not that kind of company. Pioneer's history in adding any new features to their current devices is tragic.

"Why can't my car tow a camper? I can attach a trailer hitch to it!"

Just because firmware updates are a possibility doesn't mean the functionality can be included for the features you're requesting. Sorry guys, it's been explained, and now that a MK2 unit is out, there is less likelihood that additional updates, like upgrading from 3 to 8 hot cues, would be included even if it's technically feasible.
