I'm going to direct you to file a support inquiry with our rekordbox team and they'll be able to dig into this further for you.
I'm still getting random audio drops and glitches when playing.
Win 10, Intel i7, 8GB ram, DDJ-SZ. Sample buffer is set to 512, and I can't change it to anything else.
Help please?

Why cant you change it ?
The software slider is locked at 512, which should be more than enough to play 2 decks. I never have this issue with Serato
i also has this Drops but with my iMac....
@David > Have you tried opening the DDJ-SZ configuration app to change the buffer size?
Have you tried opening your process monitor to see if there are any other applications using CPU or memory resources?
@pioneer yes on both counts. I have also tried loading my music from a secondary source to eliminate that as a cause.
I'm getting glitches while one deck is playing out loud, and I simply press the load track button on the other deck. It also happens at other random times while mixing multiple decks at once. Pretty embarrassing when it happens in front of a lot of people.
CPU never goes above 25%.
I have reinstalled everything, including removing serato from my system. What now? :(
@David > When you opened the process monitor, were you showing all processes - system as well as user?
@pioneer That is correct.
I just dropped 2k on a DDJ SZ today and am having the SAME audio dropout problems and I have 2 big gigs this weekend! I see this thread is 6 months old and still no solution? i guess its going back tomorrow..
@Swink > It would help to know what the specs of your computer are and what the buffer setting is within Serato DJ.
buffer setting is greyed out at 512...
PC specs:
Windows 10
AMD A8-5545M APU, 8GB RAM... DDJ SZ with Rekordbox DJ 4.2.0
@Swink > Unfortunately, per the system requirements, AMD processors are not supported by rekordbox and that could certainly be why you're having problems.
I'll direct you to file a support inquiry here however our rekordbox support team may tell you the same thing.
Strangely enough, Ive used Rekordbox DJ since it was released with my CDJ 2000 NXSs without a single problem.. I just sold them today because I needed to go more mobile.. i adjusted the latency in the ddj sz settings and it helped some, although the ability to scratch accurately has taken a dive... ill do a couple of practice sets tomorrow and see how it goes.
