Hi Guys,
I have the following dj setup in my "bedroom":
2x Pioneer CDJ 2000 players
Pioneer DJM 800 mixer
The CDJs are connected via digital coax and i would like to record my mixes from the DJM 800 digital out. (to keep the highest sound quality)
How can i do this easily?
I have been searching for a device which has digital coax input, but it's almost impossible to find... I tried to record with a DAC and my PC notebook, but the recording functions wasn't working (didn't recognise input).
I did some research and found a little device like the M-Audio Fast Track II, which seems okay, but i don't want to spend a lot (like 200 dollars...) just to be able to record my mixes digitally...
Any thoughts or maybe a cheap external sound card tip with digital coax inputs?
Thank you!
Zoltan

Hi,
I used analog (RCA - jack cable style) recordings for a decade, and actually started to spot the differences between analog and digital recordings.
Now i had the opportunity and money to buy a dj gear which has full digital processing. So i would like to go for the highest quality. :)
I owned a Pioneer XDJ RX last year and was so easy to hit just the record button and get a nice digital recording.
With my current setup it's quite complicated and not sure where and what to buy to record from the digital output of my DJM 800.
What would you suggest?
I know those portable digital microphones, but i don't really need all the extra functions on those.
Thank you! :)
